LILY BLOSSOMS II SOCKS
|

These socks were originally designed in a DK wt. Merino wool yarn. I have reworked them in Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride Worsted, for a thicker sock and Brown Sheep Top of The Lamb Sport, for a thinner sock.
Pattern has several improvements over the original, which was designed 5 years ago.
I have been wanting to rework this design for a very long time! Long ago, I stopped using the yarn in which the original design was worked, but I couldn't find a suitable, pure wool, hand-dyed substitute. As I prefer solid colors anyway, I decided to use 4 jewel tones, 2 purples and 2 greens. These colors really sing, whether against the white or the black background.
I've reworked the design to be knit in either sport or heavy worsted wt. Brown Sheep yarn, to please knitters that like thinner and thicker socks, alike! I've also changed the toe shaping, from the original pattern, as well as the heel flap and turning, which are now both in heel stitch. The vertical look of the heel stitch ridges compliments the ribbing. Row by row directions are included, for the heel turning in heel stitch, for those that have never tried it before!
Wear the cuff folded over, or unfolded.
