After I designed and knit the Zipped Up Aran Tunic, I immediately wanted accessories, either to be worn with the tunic or with other garments, as I so enjoyed knitting the aran patterns.
I used the sleeve pattern on the knee socks, but, as there was no room to shape the leg without disturbing the pattern, I shaped it with decreasing needle sizes!
Knit in Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride worsted with a little Handpaint Originals in the solid cream color to reinforce the v-heel. The toe is my version of a star/rounded toe, as it has 6 decrease points instead of the usual 4 for the star toe and 8 for the rounded toe.
This pattern is in charted (color!) and text forms.
