BUCKLED UP BAGS!

It's been a long time, since I last designed a tote bag, but when I began working on the first tote bag, I thought a purse would be nice to do as well. Then, I decided to offer 2 buckle options and 2 color options, so that knitters can further personalize their bag! The cable and seed stitch pattern adds dimension and texture.

The yarn I used for these bags is Bartlettyarns Fisherman Bulky wool yarn, for the bag body, and Bartlettyarns 2-ply wool yarn, used double, for the straps. The bag is fulled in the washer and dryer, before adding the straps.

By all means, don't limit yourself to the colors I've chosen. The Fisherman Bulky now comes in 11 colors and the 2-ply comes in 74 solids, heathers and raggs. Make subtle or colorful bags, to your pleasing!

Bartlettyarns Fisherman Bulky, 100% wool, 80 yd/4 oz hanks: 1 / 2 hanks A for purse's / tote's seed st sections (shown in burgundy heather / bracken) and 1 / 2 hanks B for purse's / tote's cabled sections (shown in natural / lt. sheep grey) and Bartlettyarns 2-ply Acadian Tweeds, 100% wool, 210 yd/4 oz hanks: 1 hank CC (shown in med. sheep grey/natural)

Gauge:
8 sts and 15 rows = 4" (10 cm) in seed stitch using size 15 ndls and Fisherman Bulky, or size to give gauge.

Substitute Yarn Wt: Super bulky wool. Must be all wool, NOT superwash &endash; synthetics will not full.
