ARAN PURSE

I designed this purse to replicate the shape of a small black leather purse I have used regularly for several years. It has simple lines, with shaped side panels.
The bottom of the bag and the strap is in a tight single crochet for strength, and in a darker, coordinating color, for practical purposes!
Pattern is in charts (color!) and text.
Coordinating Patterns: Tunic, Socks, Headband

Strap Length: 34"
Yarn: Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride Worsted, 85% wool/15% mohair,190 yd/4 oz pull skeins: 1 skein #M-03 Grey Heather (MC) and 1 skein #M77 Blue Magic (CC). (Choose a light color as the MC to show the cables and a dark color as the CC, for wear purposes.)
Gauges:
1. 21 sts and 28 rows = 4" (10 cm) in st st using size 6 ndls (or size to give gauge).
2. 19 sts and 22 rows = 4" (10 cm) in sc, with size F hook (or size to give gauge).
To save time, take time to check gauges.
