TREE OF LIFE TEA COZY
|
This tea cozy design uses an adaptation of my Tree of Life Pullover design. It is a motif I've been wanting to use again, for a very long time.
I chose to use a variegated colorway with short color lengths, instead of using many solid-color yarns. This eliminates the need to break and rejoin colors, which makes the knitting less stressful and is perfect for a knitter who is new to stranding.
These tea cozies are knit in Kraemer Yarns Naturally Nazareth, a domestically-produced worsted weight wool yarn of reasonable cost. One skein each of the two colors will make both tea cozies.

Circumference: 20"
Height : 8.75"
Yarns:
Kraemer Yarns Naturally Nazareth, 100% Domestic wool, approx 184 yd / 100 gram skein: 1 skein each of #Y1308 Hayride (A) and 73760 Autumn (B) (There is enough yarn to make both versions.)
Gauge: 20 sts and 22 rows = 4" (10 cm) over stranded patt with size 8 ndls or size to give gauge.
