Dawn Brocco Knitwear Designs: Knitting Patterns and Knitting Yarn

I have been designing hand knitting patterns professionally, since 1993.

Dozens of patterns have been designed for the following knitting publications: Knitter's, Family Circle Knitting, Cast-On, Knitting Digest, and Interweave Knits.

I now design for self-publication, as well as maintain this website and shopping cart.

I am a designer, but, also a wife and mother of 2 adult children.

I also love gardening (from growing organic heirloom veggies to heirloom roses), baking and decorating my home. I am an eclectic person, and this may be evidenced in my designs. The creative world is a joyous and beautiful place - so I encourage you to put your mark of creativity on everything you do, including the working up of my patterns. Creative confidence will come, the more you experiment with patterns, so that eventually you will find yourself designing your own garments!

ABOUT THE PATTERNS

All my designs are circular.

Pullovers are worked in the round, and cardigans are either worked back and forth on circular needles, or steeked.

I try to make my patterns easy-to-follow, but, knowledge of certain techniques is assumed, for each skill level.

All color charts, and most cable and lace charts, are in COLOR.

Patterns are printed on heavy stock, with color charts, where necessary, and a photo or photos of the design on a cover page, all in a clear plastic sleeve, for protection.

I use a Xerox solid ink printer, for quality printed paterns and booklets.
