this 'n that and tiny frog
So, I called the cardiologist's office and tried to get an appointment. Hohoho. We got up to the end of August with nothing working out and I got exasperated. After explaining the 3 months already w/edema, the receptionist put the nurse on, who suggested I see my PCP and see what he/she wants to do. Good idea, as cardiologist was at a dead end, anyway.
So, called PCP and, lo and behold, she squeezed me in yesterday afternoon. Of course, hubby could have used a nap instead of taking me to the doc, butcha gotta grab these appointments when you can.
Doc put me on stronger diuretic. I thought Lasix was the best. She said it's just the fastest, NOT the best. Fingers crossed.
And it really is the year of the frog - the TINY frog!
And they like to hang out on our back railing and on the nearby jasmine bush, though hubby saw it last night, hanging down from the gutter, over his head, as if ready to pounce on him!
And what a dream I had early this morning. The house was *filled* with all kinds and sizes of dogs and baby fawns, who were wagging their tails and nuzzling me! Now, if only Enya was playing in the background, I woulda thought I was in heaven!
And who were out on the back lawn this morning?, but a mama and 2 still-spotted fawns, leaping and kicking about, chasing each other around my veggie garden.
As for yesterday's strike - Ha. I'm more bark than bite. I ended up making DD's and hubby's dinners, and preparing DD's lunch for today. I can't help myself. I did manage, tho, to spend the rest of the time knitting CIC hats. Have 3 done and the 4th begun.
