morning routine, The Barbara, coming up

my mid-week morning routine
Hubby attempts to drag me out of bed at 8:30, 8:35, 8:40. Eventually, I give in.

Down 1/2 an Ensure with 1/2 the plethora of pills.

then, extra-caffeine COCOA - ah!

Prep 16 oz bottle of water which has 4 ozs aloe vera added, for drinking 1/2 before rad with another L-glutamine and 1/2 after.

Breakfast on 6-7 TBL of wheat germ with whole milk.

Soak head, so I can attempt to flatten down all these CURLS, which go awry overnight! My hair's just not long enough yet (only 1.5") to look good doing what it wants to do. Grow already, will ya, so I can have goddess/glamour hair!

Have hubby wash my back, to remove any traces of comfrey salve. Wash chest - same reason.

Dress, perfume the wrists (only - no neck or cleavage perfuming allowed), brush teeth, moisturize, then craft a face.

Walk depressed dog, who knows I'm getting ready to go out, so ya have to hook his leash on and pulllll him off the couch and out the door. Letting him stay on couch and not go walkies is NOT a good idea! Need Technotrousers!

Make sure I have that god-awful photo ID with me so I can electronically punch in at the rad center (and nope, no-one but hubby gets to see that photo - blech - someone in the hospital musta took it way back when I was ill. I look a thousand percent better now), then zip out the door.

Upon returning, usually late, zip around kitchen helping hubby get his lunch and snacks packed up, so he can zip out the door again.

Exchange *public* clothes for comfy loungewear.

Tea Tree Oil the zappideedoodah parts (which later get either seabuckthorn oiled or calendula creamed - then later again, after showering, gets comfrey salved.)

Yes, I decided on getting Anne's recommendation of Boiron's First Aid Calendula Cream, instead of the Tea Tree Oil/Calendula cream. Figured I had some TTO already - no need to be redundant.

Get on the recumbent bike and try to get 4 miles done. Then stretching, leg lifts and now dummy bells to get these flooberoos, aka arms, to stop smacking me in the face. Must use caution taking the duster to the ceilings, lest I get black eyes. Would like to wear cap-sleeves again.

Then prepare for a day of magic-mouthwashing (to numb the sore throat), endless pill-taking, liquid-drinking, and soft food eating, in between which I attempt (to some success some days, and hardly any success other days!) to get some work done, on top of keeping the household afloat.

I don't think I like the idea of a floating household, tho, do you? Add Dramamine to the pill bowl.

The Barbara
One of the rad techies is a woman - which is a good thing, considering how they gotta undress you on the zappy table, so they line you up via your tattoos, while another tech clamps that mask on - who asked what I did this weekend. Told her I read a book - one of my friend Barbara Bretton's romance novels. She doesn't read them, but has friends that do. So, hopefully, she'll tell them about BB's books.

I haven't read romances since I was 19, but am finding love stories to be a nice escape some days. They last longer than an old movie. Wish I could write them, but don't think I have the skill for character development. I only wrote poetry, in my writing days. Barbara's characters are realistic people, full of the quick banter that comprises most relationships! Reminds me of the "Philadelphia Story"'s quick dialogue. (Did I do that right, with the quote and the apostrophe? Grammar's usually OK, not perfect. Don't ask me what a gerund is?!)

coming up
2 new patterns coming very soon. Will work on it today. Hopefully to post tomorrow.

PS
Am overdue for segment 4 of the Fana KAL. Will try to get to it tomorrow or Wedn.

I'm exhausted just reading your schedule! I hope the Calendula Cream helps you a bit.

Hi Anne,
It isn't as bad as it sounds! Though the mornings are a bit hectic. I'd get up earlier, but we're not asleep til midnight-ish, and need the sleep!
