What's with the Jason mask!?, work piling up

I did the prelim stuff for radiation yesterday and they had to make me a mask, so that when my head is tilted back as far as it would go (not comfortable with shoulder blades pressed up against those bars), the mask will keep my head still.

And I wish that CAT scan bed was padded, but understand why it isn't. PET scans are way more comfortable.

Now I do tests really well, even that damn bone marrow biopsy sans anesthesia, but I wanted to scream, "get me out of this thing", and I'm not claustrophobic! Hopefully wearing it won't be as bad as when it's first being made - all hot plastic mesh molding to your face. mushing your mascara'd lashes to the mesh, not being able to even close your eyes. (Insert shiver.)

And again, after coming home, I crashed - emotional exhaustion more than physical.

Good news - my lashes and brows are finally coming in. Lashes seem thicker than before, but it could just be my memory's a bit off, as it has been about 6 months since they abandoned me!

And luckyvitamin.com is making more $ off me - had to order thyroid support and more vitamins. Might as well support the thyroid before they zap near it.

work piling up
I have SO much work to do around here - design work, but also the gardening is getting backlogged. I'm been watering and weeding, but haven't finished composting that 6th bed, nor planted it yet.

Of course, I had add to my work load by adding some of my patterns to Patternfish.com. It takes time, like adding them to Ravelry, but the more places knitters can find my work, the better!

Speaking of new venues, here's some new shops (all on the retailers page on my site:

The Fana pullover KAL is coming along - am fiddling with the sleeve design. And I have a sock design to finish and write up and that cabled vest design to write up. It'll be 1.5-2 weeks before radiation begins, so I should try and get as much done before then, as I'll be losing almost 2 hours a day for treatment and having to fuss more over my body, which I hate to do, but is necessary.

Comments:
I'm just picturing you in that mask - the things we do to get healthy again. What did you order to support the thyroid?

I'm almost done with the regular radiation and will start the specialized part of the treatment next week. Because of the tumor location they have to use photons instead of electrons. Beam me up! I've pretty much avoided skin problems because of the homeopathic calendula cream - highly recommended!
Thinking of you,
Anne

Hi Anne,
I got this one: http://www.luckyvitamin.com/item/itemKey/60160
It's hard to choose - they have so many thyroid supports with varying ingredients.I'm so glad the calendula cream worked well for you.

I intend on using the comfrey salve and seabuckthorn seed oil from the start, not waiting for burns to start. But if they don't work, I'll go get the calendula!

Good luck with the rest of your treatment!
