Every time I pull out the newly-full basket of things-to-be-shredded, and begin feeding them into La Shredda, I can't help but think of Little Shop of Horrors' Audrey - "Feed Me!"

We have so many things to simplify our lives, free up time, that is then usurped doing chores, like shredding anything with personal data on it.

I am celebrating that my eyelashes are back! And my brows. By putting on the full sweep of eye makeup. Every Day. Whether I'm going anywhere, or not.

I love my new eyelashes. Ya don't know what's it's like til they're gone - a desperately empty face.

Today it has the added onus of also cheering me up...

Do you feel like you're single-handedly jump starting the economy!?

I do.

First, the new-to -us car.

Then the new printer.

Along the way, all the chemo costs.

Soon, 25-30 radiation treatment costs, which I may have them see about sending directly to the Lymphoma Society for co-payment reimbursement (fingers crossed), as his need of 2 crowns OR another bridge - take your pick - is having us cry Uncle!

And somehow, we're hoping to get a vacation this year. Haven't had a real one in almost 15 years. We are SO overdue. But, just like this year, life just keeps getting in the way.

I think the only ones getting a vacation - on US! - are all these doctors.
