New Stuff
My extra points' towels and stock pots came in today. Can retire old pots to recycling - yay, and old towels have been culled from the towel drawer and are awaiting a new life.

Found out at my checkup today why I have so much energy after chemo. One of the drugs is a steroid, so zippidedoodah I go through the day, and then not sleep. Thankfully, it wears off after a week or so, so alternate weeks allow for normal sleeping. The next zippiddee will have me cookie baking, though I'd much rather be sleeping than doing almost anything. Including knitting, yes! I'd sleep my life away if I could!

Back Burner Design
The nippy coldness today had me pull out my Tahki Donegal Tweed pullover to wear, which I designed and knit last year? No, the year before? I forget. (I scrolled through my blog archives, as I knew a picture was there and, yes, Sept. '06! - egads!)

Photo shows it almost done - just needed the tie and lacers at the neck edge.

I need to get this pattern written up as well, and probably knit another sample in another yarn, in a smaller size. Something body-soft and snuggly-cozy.

Has anyone tried Brown Sheep's new Lanaloft? And/or Briggs & Little's new Softspun?

EZ
Am sitting here reading through (again!) EZ's The Opinionated Knitter, borrowed from the library, with a cup of cocoa in hand. Have a hurt copy (at 20% off) coming to me from Schoolhouse Press, along with their newest Wool Gathering, as I just LOVE the yoke pullover.

EZ's early newsletters remind me of a previous business I had many years ago, The Unique Sheep, where my patterns were typewritten, as well. And I thought, then, that I'd never take to a computer (being an old-fashioned Luddite kinda person), nor even an electric typewriter (hate the whirr). A manual machine was it for me (and I collected several), or so I thought. Got my first computer, a Mac IIsi, a couple years later and never turned back. It's good to surprise oneself every now and then...
