Dog better, hubby with the surgeon, update
The vet has Pickles on an anti-inflammatory, which is helping immensely. Hubby, however, is currently at the orthopedic surgeon for a consult about that (twice torn) muscle in his arm.
We've been having a cool snap here, not major, but cool enough to send me under the Lopi afghan and into my newly-knit LPW socks. So, designing is not on my mind, keeping warm is and so, I CO another pair of LPW socks. I got a deal from Pollywogs, so a pair of socks will only set me back about $3.50. The first pair has 14 rnds of rib then about 20 ends of St st, so that I can fold the cuff over or leave it up.
This next pair, I'm trying k2tbl, p1 rib for 24 rnds, then right into the heel flap. Am using US size 3 ndls and getting 6.25 sts and 8.5 rnds/1" in St st. I LOVE the feel of LP socks, but they're single ply and wear out too fast for me at looser gauges, so we'll see how these do.
Gotta go have breakfast. Have had 1 glass juice (V8 Fusion mixed with cranberry), 2 cups of tea, 1 glass iced tea and 1 glass water. I know, I should be swimming, but all this is to make up for the night sweats, which dehydrate me.
1 sock done, 1 more to go. How comforting it is to sit, curled up under wool, plodding along on a sock, no rush, no deadline, just calming small motions.

Not a torn muscle, a torn bicep tendon - beans.
MRI coming, then surgery, then many weeks home.
