CIC socks, knitting stranded

Those 14 pair of socks for CIC, that I posted about way back on May 31st, are finally getting mailed tomorrow.

With all the house-selling issues, gimpy-legged dog issues and hubby with torn tendon ALL the way down his arm to deal with, I am finding great solace in my knitting.

BUT not just any knitting.

Plain stockinette socks are TOO mindless, aran work TOO engaging, but stranded knitting is just right - just what Goldilocks needed.

For at least a few hours each day, my brain is busy counting 3, 2, 3, 2, 1, 2 etc, and not thinking about all this life stuff pouring down. EZ was right, "Knit on with confidence and hope through all crises."

You need an iPod. Books on tape. Great way to keep your mind of things you don't want to think about.
