It's here

I've ethernetted over all files that are on my Wallstreet, and will have to load the rest of the files from the zip disks onto the Wallstreet and ethernet them over. But that can wait til the weekend.

This screen is so big and bright and this white keyboard - heaven compared to the black one. And *silent*. You hear nothing, no fans whirring - tho I'm sure they're in there.

I dipped into Panther to see what Safari was like - not bad, as in not hard to get used to, and I can finally load websites that I haven't been able to, using either IE 5 for Mac or Icab.

And I can see how itunes might become hubby's new fav site - as soon as I can get some cdr or cdrw disks.

Now, all along, when I've taken photos with my digital camera, I've had to use Flashpath (which goes into the floppy drive) and software to download the pics to my Wallstreet, as that machine has no USB ports. Slow. Had no idea HOW slow it's been all these years, until I hooked up the USB cord to the camera and the Imac, and in a breath had the pics downloaded.

I know ya'll take this kind of speed and technology for granted!, but USB ports are new for me. As are the firewire ports this thing has, and the cdrw drive, which startles me when I push the keyboard key - it opens so fast. I'm very pleased.

Printer tech, though, hasn't called yet. The printhead was shipped overnight (their pref, not my request) and arrived on Wednesday. So, I can just hope they'll be fitting me in next week....

I began CIC pair #15, but need to get back to design work - been negligent for too long.
Onward.

Thanks, Mrs. R!

One of the best parts for me is the easily adjustable screen - up and back, down and forward, side to side or tilted back or forward - so I can put it just where my eyes need it, no matter how I'm sitting.

I SO liked the laptop's trackpad, tho, instead of a mouse, butcha can't have everything!

Congrats on the new gizmo, I am sure you are going to love that beautiful tool!!!
