new shops and tech issues

It's been awhile since I've posted, I know! I've been dealing with the possibility of some business investment issues, namely computer/laptop and printer probs/needs. So, my head is aswirl with prices, configurations, supplies costs, shipping costs, etc, etc. In the meantime, I'm awaiting email replies from several companies, including, hopefully, getting a new printhead for my Phaser 860dp printer.

I did finish that pair of socks I mentioned previously for me and have made pair #11 for CIC and am on pair #12.

I also spent some time yesterday moving the 2 hopelessly uncomfortable yard-sale arm chairs into the parlor and snatching one of the parlor's loveseats to take the chairs' place in the family room. I am tired of always sitting on the floor. By the end of the day, my 47.5 year old legs don't want to jump up for the umpteenth time to do this or that. So, the room's a little crowded looking with the sofa (also uncomfortable), but the house is off the market, so I'll deal with that if and when we ever get back to relisting it. At least the loveseat is comfortable.

Now to train Pickles from thinking it's, yet another, comfie place for him! I think he's getting the idea. Twice he's jumped up onto it and twice I've immediately picked him up and put him on the sofa, which is one of his two fav spots to sleep the day away.

Design work? Hahahaha. Nothing, nada. But for good reason - new shop account orders that needed printing and mailing.

The first shop is on my site, but not the 2nd one yet.

And another shop emailed me over the weekend.

And yes!, Media Sciences just called me to have me overnight them print test pages, so they can determine if it's their ink (it is), then schedule a guy to come install a new print head. One problem to be solved, soon, hopefully.

The other issue is this ancient (in computer years) laptop. It's a G3 Wallstreet, circa 1998. I put $ into it a few years ago, but no more. The screen hinge is loosening up, so I need a replacement before the thing craps out and leaves me with no computer.

Onward.
