New shop, garden planning

Am working up the cable and Fair Isle cardigan idea I previously mentioned. And beginning the long haul of tax prep.
Seed catalogs have been coming in for a couple weeks now. My fav is The Cook's Garden. It's the only catalog I'll buy seeds from, and about 90% of the time, their heirloom seed offerings, not the hybrids.
I am planning a garden this year.
This house-selling nonsense has kept me from my garden for 2 years and we're both tired of eating store-bought veggies. And I don't think the house selling market is gonna change until Bush is out of office, so we might as well make the best of staying here, and spend my time building my business, instead of throwing away my time on showings that yield nothing.
Maybe I can actually get him to run an underground pipe from the pond to the garden, an idea he came up with years ago, but never got around to. Then I won't have to haul out about 5 or 6 lengths of hose to water the garden, and haul it all in, so he can mow the rear lawn.
Tho we DO need a new (or new to us) pump this year. That ancient thing kept needing to be primed. Nothing like running across a large lawn in the heat, to turn off the pump, because there's no water coming out of the hose! I DO like efficient systems and this one is lacking.
I am still in seed selection mode. I'll post my choices with links to the catalog pages, when I've narrowed them down.
Onward.
