Update

Eyes are still dilated, so this will be short - but all is well!

The vitreous is just separating from the retina - which is fine in and of itself, and is what is causing all the schmootz in my vision.

Retina doc wants to watch me like a hawk, for a while tho, as the vitreous isn't *completely* separated from the retina yet. As soon as it is all separated, there's then no risk of it tearing the retina. That's what tore my right retina 2 years ago - the vitreous was shrinking back from the retina and pulled the retina with it.

Thank you for all well wishes!
Onward!

Hurrah! I'm glad to hear that your retina is ok. I went through the vitreous detachment thing in my left eye a year ago. No fun.

Hope it all stabilizes soon.

Whew! Hopefully things will progress normally from here on in and you will be able to relax once and for all. I'm still sending good wishes for that outcome :)
