A Teaser!
The kids have returned woolies and quilts to me they've been using for years, whilst living in the cold climes of Buffalo and Rochester, and won't be needed in Berkeley and Phoenix! But for me, this means days of laundry and I'm still not done!
A Teaser! - new pattern coming out in a day or so:
Flower Baby Blanket

I love the way this came out - isn't it absolutely adorable?! And the Eco+ yarn is even more wonderful after washing.
More baby designs to get yarn for, work up, and patterns to write. I was never *into* baby designs. But I've begun to see their advantages - they can be much cuter than adult garments, they're small and thus, are worked up much more quickly, and are ideal small platforms for trying out colorwork or stitchwork ideas. One can get halfway up an adult garment, before deciding that one doesn't like how it looks. And 38-40" of sts is twice as much to rip out as with a baby sweater.
It's also good timing that I'm beginning small designs now, what with the sudden onset of 65+% humidity and heat - bah. It was gloriously cool until just before Memorial Day. Then it's like someone turned on a switch. It's happened on many Memorial Days past, as well - cool, then, BAM, heat and humidity. With me, wilting like the flower I am! At least knit flowers don't wilt!
Onward.

Thank you so much, Bonnie!
It's one of the few designs I've ever done that I *knew* would be liked by knitters. Most often, I'm just hoping they'll like what I design, but am not sure.

Oh I love the blanket, this is too cute. The idea of it being done in the Eco yarn makes my mouth water, the colors are gorgeous!
