Showing, Shopping and Spring!
Had another showing on Friday. They seemed to like it, as they spent an entire hour going through the house and lawns and talking with the agent outside. I think that's the longest anyone's spent at a showing. Closest was 45 minutes.
Have been proofing one of the 4 patterns I've been working on. It's done and 2 of the remaining 3 are just days from being done. The last needs to wait until I knit another sample, but the 4 new designs in the queue will be taking precedence. I'm really eager to get going on them, as soon as I can order yarn.
We did a little shopping Saturday - 2 new pillows, new all cotton sheets and finally!, one of those 5x magnifying bathroom mirrors. NOW I can see that crappy eye well enough to do its brows and put makeup on it! Yay! All at Linens & Things. I had traded in a gazilllion (well, not quite!) of my American Express points for 2 gift card to Home Depot for $150 total value and 1 to Linens and Things for $50.
The Home Depot gift cards helped pay for the supplies for redoing the mud room, and the L&T card got almost all of Saturday's purchases.
Been working on CIC socks again. Just started the 3rd pair. And I swatched some laceweight cashmere, doubled for a sport wt. I have an embellished baby sweater in mind. I may even begin that today, though I do have a whole slew of other things to do (business and non-business).
Some days just feel so ripe with potential. It's been like that lately, and it's no wonder. I'm a spring child - it's like beginning a new life each spring. Everything inside and outside starts to bloom and take life.
