Optometrist App't

Spent 1 hour and 15 minutes at the optometrist this morning taking test after test. They'll be ordering a (custom) gas permeable trial lens. Could take between 2 and 5 weeks to get in. I am WELL used to my lenses taking 2 weeks to arrive as my toric soft lens prescription isn't stocked. But we're at 7 diopters of astigmatism in this eye on top of the pitiful myopia, though the ophthalmologist measured it at 8 diopters. Must be changing.

Hard lenses are not supposed to be as comfortable as soft lenses, but we'll see. My eyes are pretty un-sensitive, so maybe it won't feel that horrible. Anyways, when it does come in, I have to put the lens in then sit in the waiting room an hour to see both how the eye adjusts and whether they'll need to make any vision correction to the lens. I've only been through this 5x with the soft lenses, hopefully it won't take 5x with the hard lens, at a 2-5 week wait per lens! or we will have moved by then.

The RE flood gates are supposed to be open now - it's past April 15th - so where is everybody? Where are all these buyers we've been waiting for? Must email the agents and see what's up. I know it's only the 19th, but we're 7+ months into this - impatient can hardly describe it.

Patterns await. Onward.
