Nothing exciting lately.

Yesterday I washed and rehung some curtains, did the laundry and started the attic attack. Got 1/2 the big attic gone through - breaking down boxes, bagging up stuff to be thrown out and making piles for recycling, contributed mostly by my son's endless binders of school papers, saved from elementary and high school! Then the small attic, which, oddly has the most stuff in it as it's much more easily accessible. The large attic has a winding steep staircase for access, the small attic has 2 accesses, both easier and wider. But it is full - various roofing debris and materials from all hubby's exterior exploits, boxes of tax papers, boxes of wallpaper remnants from the 6 rooms and 2 baths we've papered, more kids' stuff, and boxes of stuff from when we moved here 10 years ago that never got unpacked - as we didn't have a kitchen to put it all into, until recently, and I'm not doing that now, just to repack it up.

So, I gotta order boxes today and those biodegradable peanuts and rebox some of these attic things. I've been sweeping up and dusting off as I make my way through the piles trying to organize what goes, what stays for the future owners (like the wallpapers, window screens, doors we've removed from some rooms etc), what's gonna be sold off or given away, and what we're taking with us.

I did get that lettuce seed planted this morning and am now working on the next Gazette issue. I was hoping to get to take some garment and sock photos today - but it's too cloudy. And the Phaser is giving me light stripes, no matter how many times I do a cleaning of the jets. New ink cubes are coming any day, so I'll just have to wait and tackle that problem again after the ink comes.
Comments:
Its almost exhausting just to read about your attic adventures! I need to do something similar in my garage, but there is always something better to do!

My printer did the stripes thing for a while, now its pretty dead, can't clean no more unless I take syringe and distilled water, not sure if I dare.

What kind of printer do you have Maus? Mine is a Xerox Phaser 860DP. I think maybe the never-ending rain, the humidity might be exacerbating the stripe prob for me. One isn't supposed to run the behemoth over 85% humidity - right! Can't very well put off important work, waiting for it to stop raining. An air-conditioned office would be ideal, but not in this life, I mean house!

The attic clean out isn't as terrible as it sounds, it's just one of those things we all dread having to do, and as I hate proscrastinating, I just dig on in. I like that feeling of crossing jobs off lists. There's always something else that needs doing, but getting the list down makes it all seem less unmanageable and makes me feel like I've accomplished something. A day with no work done bums me out!

Oh dear, your last sentence bums me out, as I was just thinking, exactly WHAT have I done today? and I couldn't come up with anything presentable ;)

My printer is a cheapo undeluxe Epson, and the printheads are clogged. There is either the trashcan in the future or trying real careful to clean the heads with distilled water. One of these days I will probably dare do it. If I break it, there is always option number one LOL....

Oh yes, there are plenty of days when I go to bed and think "a day down the tubes!" Especially latelty when there is SO much for us to get done in a short amount of time, and time's a wastin'! The rain always kills my ambition, and I feel lazy when hubby's around - which is 3.5 weeks so far and 6.5 weeks or so to go - from his hand surgery. If I could spend all day with him doing nothing but just being together, I would, so I often need to shake myself to get some WORK done! I'm just a mushy romantic at heart.

Before I got the Phaser, I used HP inkjet printers for years. What's nice about HP is that every time you buy new ink cartridges, you get a new printhead, so clogging wasn't usually a problem. But I feel for you. This behemoth set me back $1600 and I've had to get a repair done once already - which means traipsing this heavy (80-90 lbs or so) thing an hour away to the nearest guy who repairs Phasers.

So, to say the least I am not hapy about the striping as hubby does NOT want to have to go through that repair trip again and I s don't want to have to spend any more money on it.

So, I'll search the net and see if there's anything I can do besides run the cleaning from the panel.
